The Milwaukee Bucks are providing students at Concordia University Wisconsin with discounted tickets for home games through their Student Rush Program.
This program, which is free to join, was designed to provide college students with the opportunity to receive game day discounts on unsold seats and standing room areas.
This program simply requires an active .edu college email address and a phone number capable of sending and receiving text messages. Links to purchase the tickets are sent via SMS message at 10 a.m. on the days of every home game.
Charlie Schnell, a CUW student and Milwaukee Bucks Marketing Intern, shared the number of students at Concordia that have already joined this program.
“We have a total of 795 sign-ups so far this year here on campus,” Schnell said.
This means about only 14% of CUW’s population is aware of all of the benefits that this program has to offer. The program’s goal is to increase this percentage through various promotional events.
Teddy Schnell, CUW’s Brand Ambassador, approaches this challenge by going door-to-door in the dorms and hosting tabling events. These events provide information and a sign-up sheet for interested students. There are also promotional gift giveaways and raffles to enter.
“My next tabling event will be next Tuesday, from 7-9 [p.m.], at the Nest,” Schnell said.
